WristGram (“the App”) is an independent, unofficial client for the Telegram messaging service, built for Apple Watch. This policy explains what data the App handles and how. We have designed WristGram to collect as little as possible.

Who we are

WristGram is developed and published by an independent developer (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected].

The short version

• We run no servers of our own for your messages. The App connects directly to Telegram’s servers using Telegram’s protocol.
• We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal data to us or to any third party.
• We include no third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
• Your account data, messages, and media are stored locally on your device and sent only to Telegram.

Information processed by the App

To function as a Telegram client, the App processes the following on your device and/or transmits it directly to Telegram (never to us):

• Telegram account & login. Your phone number and the authorization keys Telegram issues during login are used to connect to your Telegram account. These are stored securely on-device (in the system Keychain and the App’s local database) and are transmitted only to Telegram.
• Messages & media. Chats, messages, photos, voice messages, files, and similar content you send or receive are exchanged directly with Telegram and cached locally on your device so the App can display them.
• Contacts & chat list. Retrieved from Telegram to show your conversations. Not uploaded anywhere by us.
• Microphone. Used only while you record a voice message or are in a call. Audio is sent to your chat / call peer via Telegram; we never receive it.
• Location. Accessed only when you explicitly choose “Send location” in a chat, and sent only to that chat via Telegram.
• Calls. Voice-call audio is exchanged peer-to-peer / via Telegram’s call relays using Telegram’s end-to-end-encrypted call protocol. We do not relay, record, or store calls.

Data shared with Telegram

Because WristGram is a Telegram client, your use of it is also governed by Telegram’s own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Any data you send through the App is handled by Telegram according to their policies: https://telegram.org/privacy.

Data we collect

None. The developer does not operate a backend that receives your data, does not maintain user accounts on our own servers, and does not use analytics or advertising. We have no access to your messages, contacts, or account.

Optional features

If a future version offers an optional voice-message transcription feature, audio for a message you explicitly choose to transcribe may be sent to a transcription service solely to return text to you, and is not retained for any other purpose. This feature is off and unavailable unless you enable it; this policy will be updated before any such feature ships enabled.

Children

WristGram is not directed to children. You must meet Telegram’s minimum age requirement to use a Telegram account.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time from within the App, which removes the stored authorization and local data from the device. You can also delete the App to remove all locally cached data. To manage or delete your Telegram account itself, use Telegram’s own tools.

Changes

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
